In autumn 2012, the National Transport Authority (NTA) conducted a broad inspection to ascertain whether the railway services of Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. meet the applicable legal standards and regulations. The company was, once again, fully compliant with the official requirements, and the Authority concluded that statutory conditions of the operating license are met.
The company received the national rail service operating license from the NTA in 2007. The prerequisite for this was to comply with the specific requirements of the relevant decree of the ministry on goodwill, financial performance, professional abilities, and its ability to compensate for accident related damages.
The license was issued to the railway company for an indefinite period, however, the company has a legal obligation to notify the Authority on the changes in the conditions inspected during the process of issuing its operating licence, and request the revision of its licence. In addition, the NTA assess the company’s compliance with licence conditions every five years, under the provisions of the Act on railway undertakings.
Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt – thanks to the efforts and assistance of its employees – has been in compliance with the licence requirements since 2007, providing additional warranty to its customers of the reliability of its services.
