On 23th April 2013, Hungary’s market-leading rail freight forwarding company signed a long-term commercial agreement with its key client, BorsodChem Zrt.
The official documents were singed at the headquarters of Rail Cargo Hungaria by János Szabó, Vice President Procurement & Logistics and István Papp, Director Logistics representing BorsodChem, and Dr. Imre Kovács, Chairman of the Board, CEO and András Vernes, Commercial Director representing Rail Cargo Hungaria. The agreement for the transport of more than a million tons of goods annually, covering a three-year period is an important achievement for the railway company, since it allows for the engagement of capacities in accordance to a highly plannable traffic in the current, less predictable economic environment.
Rail Cargo Hungaria emphasised that the renewed agreement demonstrates BorsodChem’s undiminished confidence toward the company, which the railway undertaking would be deserving of in the future. The chemical company’s representatives highlighted on the occasion of concluding the agreement that their experience of cooperation has proven that this strategic partnership is of particular importance in the current economic environment, since it provides a competitive advantage to both parties through plannability and predictability. The results obtained collectively in the past three-year period provided the basis for the conclusion of the current contract.
