Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. is the member of various Hungarian and international professional organisations and associations. After joining the international railway organisations in 2006, the first year of its operation as an independent company, Rail Cargo Hungaria undertook an active role in the work of the different field groups and projects of the organisations in 2007. Beyond railway-specific issues related to the transport of goods, the company also placed emphasis on the subject area of unified, electronic information exchange.

Dangerous Goods Transport Safety Advisors' Professional Association (Dangerous Goods Transport Safety Advisors' Professional Association) In 2007, MÁV Cargo joined the Association founded in 2004 and performing public utility activities in the areas of environmental protection, transport safety, civil emergency service and research, the members of which also include companies engaging in dangerous freight transport. The company is a member of the Association with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well. HUNGRAIL Hungarian Rail Association (Hungarian Rail Assocation) The lobby group of interest representation for companies active in the railway sector and have a railway operating licence was founded on 17 January, 2006 with the name of Hungarian Rail Freight Association (MAVE). Rail Cargo Hungaria continues to be a member of the Association. Hungarian Logistics Association (Hungarian Logistics Association) The organ of interest representation for the Hungarian logistics sector and the leader of its professional forums has approximately 200 members. MÁV Cargo joined the association in 2006. The company is a member of the Association with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well.. Hungarian Logistics Cluster (MLK) The cluster was created by eleven Hungarian logistics service providers and their clients to help Hungary become the Central European centre of logistic activities. MLK was established at the end of January, 2006, with MÁV Cargo as one of its founding members. The company is a member of the Cluster with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well. This professional non-profit organisation for the reconciliation and mediation of interests was established to harmonize the development of logistics service providing centres belonging to the national network. Its purpose lies in strengthening the position of logistics centres developed in accordance with the national principles of transport policy, based on the primary consideration of environmentally friendly transport of goods. It was founded on 12 June 2002 by the ten companies belonging to the network of national logistics service providing centres. MÁV Cargo joined the association in 2006. The company is a member of the Association with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well. t is the legal successor of the Hungarian Federation of Customs Agencies and Customs Players. Rail Cargo Hungaria has its representation in the successor organisation of the reputed federation with over 100 members and two-decade long history that demands the observation of strict professional guidelines. Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies) A Brussels based organisation established in 1973 and has over 70 members. MÁV Cargo joined on 1 January 2007. The company is a member of the Community with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well. Mission: CER's fundamental goal lies in the development of the railway sector, since it considers railway transport to be the basis of an efficient and environmentally friendly European transport system. It strives to develop a balanced work division of the different means of transport, and in order to achieve this, to direct traffic in the direction of railways. It performs the member railways' representation of interests in the dialogue with the European Union's institutions and as a participant takes on an initiator role in the process of community legislation. It uses its interest enforcing ability in order to acquire EU sources necessary for the railway sector, and also undertakes tasks and assignments related to a united European railway transport. Working language: English CIT - International Rail Transport Committee (Comité international des transports ferroviaires, International Eisenbahntransportkomitee, International Rail Transport Committee) Headquartered in Berne, the Committee was founded in 1902, and number of its members reaches 300 by today. This committee accepted the membership application of MÁV Cargo in 2006. The company is a member of the Committee with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well. Mission: The tasks of CIT include facilitation of the practical implementation of the intergovernmental Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF - Convention relative aux transports internationaux ferroviaires), and its supervision. Related to this, it integrates the bilateral relations of the players of transportation as well as intergovernmental affairs by developing standards. For years it has made successful steps to harmonise the freight legislation of the former Western and Eastern Block (the Contract for International Carriage of Goods by Rail - CIM and the Uniform Rules Related to the International Railway Passenger and Baggage Transport Contract - SZMGSZ). Working languages: French, German, English FTE - Forum Train Europe (Forum Train Europe, Forum für die Fahrplankoordination im europäischen Schienenverkehr) Seated in Berne, the integrated framework organisation was established in 1997, although international timetable coordination meetings have been held since the late 1800s by companies involved in passenger and freight rail traffic. It has approximately 90 members, and ever since its launch of operation as an independent company, MÁV Cargo has had continual membership in its own right. Since March 2010 Rail Cargo Hungaria participates in the work of the Forum as well. Mission: FTE constitutes a neutral platform that enables the distribution of the capacity needs emerging in cross-border passenger and freight transport based on consensus. FTE promotes the removal of national limitations. Its web sites: http://www.forumtraineurope.org/ and http://www.fte-rail.com/ Working languages: German, French, English Organisation for the Cooperation of Railways (OSJD, OSZhD, Организация Сотрудничества Железных Дорог, Organisation for the Co-operation of Railways) With headquarters in Warsaw, the intergovernmental organisation was founded in 1956; it has 25 full-fledged members. MÁV Cargo has joint representation in the organisation together with MÁV Zrt. Mission: The organisation's main task lies in the development of rail connection between Europe and Asia. To achieve this, it initiates setting up transcontinental transport corridors, it ensures the frameworks for the harmonisation of freight legislation (SZMGMSZ and CIM), strives to facilitate border crossing by harmonising administrative, technical and legal conditions and develops transportation policy concepts. Working languages: Russian, Chinese TSZNKT - International Coordinating Council of Trans-Siberian Transportation (Координационный Совет по Транссибирским перевозкам, CCTST, International Coordinating Council of Trans-Siberian Transportation) The international council was registered in 1997 in St. Gallen, Switzerland, although its administrative headquarters is located in Moscow. Currently it has 130 members from 25 countries, MÁV Cargo applied for membership in 2006. Mission: The goal of the Council's operation is to ensure the harmonised conditions and principles of freight transport on the Trans-Siberian railway lines at an international level, to coordinate the activities of the players of freight transport, to create the technological and legal background, and, last but not least, to generate traffic. Working language: Russian International Union of Railways (L'Union Internationale des Chemins de fer, Internationaler Eisenbahnverband, International Union of Railways) Headquartered in Paris, the International Union of Railways was founded by the European railways in 1922 and has become known worldwide with 121 members on five continents. The membership application MÁV Cargo was accepted at the annual general assembly of the Union, held in June 2006. The company is a member of the Union with the new name Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. as well. Mission: The founders of the Union of Railways aimed at establishing the uniform preconditions facilitating railway transport, and ever since, the organisation has been intensely involved in setting up a railway without boundaries. First of all, it undertook developing the technical and operational conditions of railway transport, in the frameworks in which it emphasizes interoperability and the standardisation of information systems.
